Garba Night

Date: 10/16/2021, 6 pm – 11 pm

Location: Canlan Sports Complex, 1950 US-45, Libertyville, IL 60048

Attendance: About 1000 in and around Lake County community attended the event.

Description: Garba is a form of dance, as well as a religious and social event that is performed during Navratri (nine nights), the longest and largest dance festival in the world and is dedicated to Hindu goddess Durga. The celebration started with a prayer and continued to a group dance. All ages participate and dance in traditional Indian clothes. There were about 35 small businesses and boutiques from across greater Chicago area to show case their products and services. There were also six different food vendors to serve the community with various flavors of food.
