Welcome to the Lake County Indians Association (LCIA)!
The Lake County Indians Association (LCIA) was founded in 2021 by a group of dedicated individuals from the Indian community in Lake County, Illinois. The association was born out of a desire to create a platform that would not only foster a sense of community among Indian-Americans but also promote cultural exchange and integration with the broader society.
In its early years, LCIA focused on organizing cultural events and festivals that celebrated Indian traditions and heritage. These events provided a space for the community to come together, share their customs, and celebrate significant Indian festivals such as Diwali, Holi, and Navratri. Over time, LCIA's activities expanded to include educational programs, health and wellness initiatives, and services for seniors.

These events, including India Independence Day celebrations, Garba Night, Women's Day Celebrations, and the 5K Run/Walk, have become central to the association's mission of promoting Indian culture and community engagement.

The association has partnered with local schools and industry professionals to provide workshops and camps focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education, business innovation, and career preparedness.
